Sharewear 2026: A Free Community Giveaway Event

Get ready for Sharewear 2026, a completely FREE community giveaway offering clothing, linens, toys, books, school supplies, household goods, food, local community resources, and so much more. 
This is a chance for our community to support one another, reduce waste, and make sure families end summer with what they need. Whether you’re donating, picking up items, or simply spreading the word, you’re part of something meaningful.

📅 Saturday, August 8th 9am-4pm
🌍 Open to everyone - no requirements, no cost. Just come and take what you need.

We’ll also be hosting a donation drive the day before for anyone who wants to contribute gently used or new items of the above items:

Why Choose the Theme of Luke 10:25–37?
This year’s theme draws inspiration from the parable of the Good Samaritan; a powerful reminder that Christlike service means showing compassion to everyone. It calls us to move beyond comfort zones and set aside prejudices so we can truly “go and do likewise.” As a community, we’re invited to become modern‑day Good Samaritans: people who see others as neighbors, extend love without hesitation, and offer genuine, hands‑on help to those in need. It’s a call to serve with open hearts and active compassion, uplifting every person we encounter.

Volunteer Sign Up Sheet

✨ Volunteer Sign-Up ✨ It’s go time! Choose the volunteer slots that fit your schedule, even one shift helps create lasting change in the community! Please let us know what languages you speak (especially if it's Spanish) so we can welcome everyone with ease. 🕰️ Shifts are Thursday night (8/6), all day Friday (8/7), and all day Saturday (8/8)! Friday is open to ages 10+, and Saturday to ages 15+. The event will take place on Saturday, August 8th, from 9am-4pm at 1524 Jenkins Rd, Wake Forest (Located inside The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints).   Is there any cost to attend Sharewear? No. Sharewear is a completely free event made possible through the generosity of community donations, dedicated volunteers, and support from local congregations of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints. Everything offered at the event is available at no cost. Is Sharewear open to everyone?  Absolutely.
